First Service Clean

vs Deep Clean

White Glove’s First Service Clean is our regular, thorough cleaning that goes beyond that of conventional cleaning companies. But, most new customers request a Deep Clean, which is a first-service option.

What's the
Difference?

Our First Service Clean requires extra time because we thoroughly clean all furnishings and places that are included in our basic home cleaning package. During each service after that, some things are checked for needed cleaning but may not need to be as thoroughly cleaned as the first time. For example, a greasy kitchen counter back-splash requires intensive cleaning the first time, but from then on it will not require as much time.

Our First Service Deep Clean does all this plus we clean furnishings and places not included in our regular cleaning service. We take the time to “detail” or “micro-clean,” to reach inaccessible places not generally cleaned, and to tackle hard-to-clean spots, marks, and stains.

Some highlights of a White Glove Deep Clean:

Baseboards swept and hand cleaned if necessary to remove accumulated dirt, scuffs, and stains.

Sometimes it may be difficult to get hard floors as clean as we would like the first time. This generally is because the floor has not been cleaned well on a regular basis, or because residue from cleaning products have built up over time. Rough tiles, too, get dirt embedded in tiny crevices.

It is not unusual for some floors to take several services to gradually remove buildup. Some tile floors may need something stronger than mopping such as tile-and-grout removal which should be done periodically to keep tile and grout looking their best.

About Floors

About

Full Shelves

To have full shelves cleaned, please place books, accent pieces, pictures, and knickknacks on a table or bed. When the team sees empty shelves, they will thoroughly clean the shelves and surrounding molding. You can do this for any service.

Do we remove items on shelves and dresser tops to wipe dust? Yes, unless too many items are present in which case we move a few items to get around and behind as is feasible.

Whatever you call it—limescale, soap scum, hard water stains—mineral buildup on bathroom glass is a real problem, especially where water is very hard. If left untreated, limescale becomes embedded and cannot be removed. Regardless of television commercials that show heavy mineral buildup being easily wiped away as glass sparkles, common products do not work like that. White Glove has researched and tested many products and methods to remove lime scale, including special janitorial products. We have found NOTHING that removes mineral buildup well.

We will try our best, but we cannot promise sparkling glass where mineral build up is present. If you want to keep your shower glass clean, the best advice is to use a squeegee after each use or spray the glass with Rain-X glass cleaner or similar products after each use.

In such an event, the team leader will note what yet needs to be done, and continue our thorough cleaning at the next service or even the third service. Of course, we will inform you of what we will continue to work on so you don’t think we overlooked something.

Any job White Glove quotes will be finished even it it takes longer than we thought. We will never charge more for anything we have quoted.
