The next-door neighbor was at her wits' end! "They
really don't seem to care. They leave streaks and smears, dust and
dirt, and never take care of oversights when they're pointed out to
them," she vented to Las Vegas resident, Rodney Hill. The frustrated
homeowner was referring to her house cleaners, who among other things
scratched her entrance door and broke a figurine but tried to cover
them up.
Having a friend who had been in the cleaning business
for years, Rodney knew that customers shouldn't have to put up with
such shoddy work and inappropriate attitudes. Discussing his neighbor's
plight with his friend, he was astonished to learn that dissatisfaction
with cleaners and cleaning businesses was actually quite widespread.
Customer
dissatisfaction seemed to stem from the fact that anyone and anybody
thinks they can be a housecleaner even without any commonly accepted
standards or procedures and especially skills and professionalism. He
discovered that most freelance cleaners are not bonded or licensed as a
business, and liability insurance is practically nil.

Even the big franchises with high
prices frequently fall short on meeting customer expectations because
often absentee owners hire undependable managers and workers.
Astounded,
Rodney and his friend, Thomas Lee, founded White Glove in 2005 in Las
Vegas, Nevada, for the purpose of bringing excellence and
professionalism to the industry with the owners actually participating
in the day-to-day work.
Their purpose was to create a
professional service company that takes cleaning seriously. Settling
for nothing less than being the best, the business emphasized thorough
work, customer care, personal integrity, image, and detail. They knew
that a true professional operation would appeal to people who just
aren't happy with their house cleaners, and those who would ordinarily
not consider a cleaning service. They were correct.
It is
surprising how many new customers come to White Glove having had house
cleaners in the past but who were dissatisfied with the lack of
professionalism and quality of work. Every customer who came to White
Glove, having had previous disappointing service, has remained with the
company to this day.
Though the fledgling company did only
minimal initial marketing, White Glove took off and today the company
continues to advertise very little as most new customers came from
referrals.
Rodney started with a sincere commitment to
customers: "White Glove will never lose a customer due to poor
service." In other words, he says that the company will do whatever it
takes to keep a customer pleased. The company guarantees its work
along with customer security and value, all part of what is referred to
as their Top Quality Policy.
In an industry often not
considered "professional," White Glove has created a professional
business image, comprehensive procedures requiring specific skills, and
strict customer care guidelines--all backed by quality control, not just
lip service. The company truly delivers on its slogan, Perfecting the
Art of Cleaning.
Company operations and personnel reflect
competence, honesty, dependability, attention to detail, and
sincerity. In summary, customers can depend upon a company that really
does "take house cleaning seriously."
